To be a student in the present day and age is a challenging task, one which can be managed by a well-planned and dutifully followed study schedule. Aiding to this is a proper nutritious well-balanced meal. I will list down the ideal diet which you should partake to excel as a learner.
It may sound extremely cliche when I say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but it really is. Studies have shown that skipping breakfast overturns academic achievements. Best things to eat in breakfast are grains, meats, fruits and vegetables and lastly, milk based produce. Eating an egg is also a great way to start the day, not only is it filling but also one egg contains many nutrients, 6g of protein, vitamin B12 (which helps convert glucose into energy).
There is a wide variety of foods which you should include in your diet, such as walnuts and almonds, which helps increase your cognitive functioning, positively affect neurological activity and prevent cognitive decline. Dark chocolate is packed with flavonols, which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. They can also help lower blood pressure and improve blood flow to both the brain and heart.
Avocado, blueberries and beet roots should be fit into your diet if you want to be a good learner. Avocado contains vitamin K and folate, which prevent blood clots in the brain, as well as improve cognitive functioning in the areas of memory and concentration. Blueberries are high in antioxidants with a tantamount of vitamin C, vitamin K and fiber. Beets tend to increase blood flow to the brain because of the presence of natural nitrates and they also help the body get rid of toxins.
There is a direct link between the amount of water you drink and brain functioning. Lack of water can cause problems with focus, memory, brain fatigue and brain fog, as well as headaches, sleep issues, anger, depression, and many more. To be a good learner, you must consume at least 8 glasses of water every day.
To rise up to the daunting challenge of academic excellence, it is important to remember one simple mathematical equation, good nutrition= good learning.
